Updated Guidelines on Certificate Burdening/ Inscriptions on Immovable property.
Following compulsory acquisition of land by Government by virtue of Notices under Section 8 of the Land Acquisition Act, The Ministry of Housing and Lands makes requests for the issuance of Certificates burdening inscriptions regarding each and every plot of land purchased.
Same are prepared by Assistants Registrar General/Principle Registration Officer on a rotational basis
A Certificate must show all the names of the former owners for a period of at least forty years and also, if any, the nature and number of inscriptions, Charges, privileges and other encumbrances burdening the property/ies.
ARGs/PRO/CRO input the worked-out Certificate in the Mi-Service wherein all salient features are recorded and deeds and inscriptions/Charges are also uploaded.
The draft Certificates are then sent for validation to DRGs who fully scrutinize same and ultimately issue the Certificate.
After validation, same is forwarded to the photocopy section for uploading and delivery to the requestor.
